Blazing a trail through innovation and inclusion in the latest edition of Construction magazine – out now

by | Mar 3, 2025

The March edition of Construction allows us to tip a hard hat to those who encourage and contribute to equality and inclusion within the industry.

Our annual women in construction issue is a collaboration with the Construction Industry Federation’s International Women’s Day summit.

This year’s sold-out event, which you can read more about on page 18, brings together an extraordinary group of female leaders and thinkers who will share their experiences and insights from both on and off-site within the built environment.

This pioneering event is a testament to how CIF is providing a strong platform for conversation around shaping the future of construction and inspiring young people to engage with the industry.

Accelerate action is the theme for this year’s gathering, taking place on March 7, and with this call comes a collection of electrifying and emotive stories from people who have done just that.

Our cover feature is a continued nod to CIF’s 90th anniversary year in 2025 as we meet some of the women who are shaping Ireland’s landscape, its cities, and its towns through their work with federation member companies.

On page 38 we also meet Ecocem Global’s Susan McGarry, a powerful voice in industry sustainability whose journey from intern to director in the face of adversity is a powerful example of the high calibre of talent the construction sector attracts.

We hope you enjoy reading this special edition and that it inspires further action and support for the trailblazers who are changing and
innovating how we deliver across the industry.
