Managing Director of MP Joyce Contracting Ltd Michael Joyce began his career in construction as a site engineer in the early 80s with Moy Contractors – a leading main contracting company in both Galway and Limerick.

He later joined Henry Connolly Builder Ltd as a surveyor and contracts manager. He became a full member of the Chartered Institute of Building in 1990, in which he served as treasurer and chairman of the Western Centre.

In 1993 Michael set up his own contracting company, where he now manages on and off site commercial, industrial and residential projects in the Mid-West Region. As chair, Michael would like to see the introduction of CIRI to ensure excellence and professionalism in the industry.

He looks forward to working with all the Mid-Western members to ensure maximum investment in infrastructure in the region. He hopes this will facilitate growth in housing, apartments and commercial projects.

Michael is a member of the Limerick county board representing Patrickswell GAA Club and is a keen follower of Limerick hurling and Mayo football. He also has a great interest in horse breeding and racing and enjoys an annual pilgrimage to Cheltenham.
