Welcoming 2025 and a milestone year for CIF in the latest edition of Construction magazine – out now

by | Jan 8, 2025

Welcome to the first edition of Construction magazine for 2025. We begin the new year on a note of optimism and with a desire for continued productivity and advancement across all sectors of the industry.

In this issue, CIF Director General Hubert Fitzpatrick looks forward to the next 12 months in celebration of the 90th anniversary of the Construction Industry Federation.

He also introduces CIF’s new president, Stephen McCarthy, whose two-year term starts this month.

The Cork business owner, Hubert says, will be instrumental in championing the vital role construction plays in shaping Ireland’s future.

We also hear from the federation’s directorate as they look ahead to what’s in store across housing, the regions, corporate affairs, industrial relations, health and safety, communications, and more.

With valuable leadership and expert forecasting, each director provides an on-the-pulse viewpoint for members who want to most up-todate
insight into industry opportunities, development, challenges, and changes.

There’s also a round-up of the latest CIF events as well as comment and analysis on the issues that matter most, from major talking points
on sustainability to what’s needed for fair and balanced reform of public procurement.

We also look at how to approach financial health and cast an eye on what investors and policymakers will be focusing on in 2025.

Wishing all our readers, CIF members and partners a safe, healthy and prosperous start to the year ahead.
