Welcome to the summer edition of Construction magazine.

On behalf of everyone who has contributed to bringing this special bumper issue to life, we congratulate all those featured in the CIF Top 50 Contractors for 2025.

Showcasing the strength, depth and skill of this mighty industry, this year’s Top 50 edition includes many of the projects, companies and people who exemplify quality, reliability and the delivery of incredible buildings and infrastructure across Ireland and worldwide.

We are delighted to recognise the achievements and far-reaching successes of the Irish construction industry both at home and abroad, something CIF President Stephen McCarthy and CIF Director General Hubert Fitzpatrick eloquently share more of through their thoughts and insights in the pages that follow.

This year’s figures give an insight into the inner workings of the construction industry at the end of last year.

The CIF Top 50 Contractors list is compiled annually, with rankings based on overall turnover figures sourced directly from CIF contractors.

The class of 2025 have a total turnover of €20.85billion for 2024, while the entry figure this year was €69.288million, an increase of €3.288million on 2024.

Behind these figures lies the knowledge and expertise of the many men and women who lead and support the delivery of impressive construction projects globally and in Ireland.

It showcases how technology and innovative thinking, coupled with traditions grown over decades, and in some cases centuries, have combined to give us the successful industry we know and are proud of today.
