Kirby Group Engineering has reached a new milestone in its journey in people management processes.
The Irish firm has been awarded platinum accreditation from the Investors in People programme, scoring among the top two per cent of organisations assessed to date.
Now in its 30th year, the UK-based Investors in People programme has assessed over 50,000 organisations. The international accreditation is currently recognised in 66 countries around the world.
“Kirby has gone through a period of rapid growth in recent years, and one of our priorities was to maintain a commitment to our five core values – people, safety, quality, delivery and value – as part of that expansion,” Kirby Group MD Mark Flanagan said. “The report from Investors in People shows that’s on track, and I couldn’t be prouder of our team for that, particularly when we’ve all come through such a challenging year.”
Kirby received praise for its architectural, engineering and construction activities, notably for its motivated people and trusted leadership. A culture of appreciation, positive reinforcement and acknowledgement at Kirby was also highlighted, alongside its learning and development programmes and ability to adjust and adapt during the pandemic.
Kirby Group Operations Director Henry McCann added: “To see that people believe Kirby is a great place to work and have them positively highlight areas like remuneration, communications, trust and support will inspire us to drive forward. Knowing we’ve got such a supportive team who are committed to a bright future for the company is a massive advantage.”
Kirby also paid tribute to the guidance it has received over the last five years from its Investors in People practitioner Andy Galloway.
Kirby Group Engineering is a privately-owned engineering contracting firm employing over 1,200 professionals and has over 2,400 people deployed across Europe.
